JANE W. FREEMAN is an associate attorney in the law firm of Cacace, Tusch & Santagata, a general practice law firm with offices in Stamford . She holds B.A. (1972, cum laude, in American History) from Goucher College and a J.D. (1976) from the University of Connecticut Law School and is admitted to practice before Connecticut 's state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Jane is the chair of the firm's Land Use Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in land use, real estate and related litigation, representing developers and community groups. She regularly appears before municipal land use boards on planning, zoning and wetlands applications and serves as legal counsel in trials and appeals relating to these issues. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Planning & Zoning Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and lectures on land use topics to attorneys, developers, municipal officials and other land professionals. Since 1990, Jane has served as an Attorney Trial Referee for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch. She also serves as Secretary on the Stamford Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors.
